GE CG-9810 full size VHS video camera from 1988, Loaded this camera up with TDK Premium Quality VHS tape, I then traveled to Ione, California, California’s gold country.
Ione, California is a small town where everyone knows everyone, for those of you who watched the TV show MythBusters, then you may be familiar with the town as the TV show traveled there many times, this is where they annihilated the cement truck with a massive amount of explosives that they were very proud of and showed often.
I myself have traveled there as well as all over the gold country for many years, the gold country in the Sierra Nevada mountain range offers many cool towns, in my video’s, you may see me travel there often.
The camera itself was a real pleasure to use, the only issues I had with it is probably an issue with me, I found the camera didn’t rest too well on my shoulder, I wear eyeglasses, I didn’t have the viewfinder smashed into my face, that may have given me a proper fit. I also had an issue navigating the record and zoom in/out rocker switch, I have issues with touch sensories in my fingers, again, could be my issue…I also found after a while the camera became heavy in the hand causing fatigue….outside of those, again I found it an awesome camera!
It produced an awesome video and I am looking forward in using it again!
